Sr. Process Design Engineer

* Demonstrate a strong commitment to personal safety and the safety of employees, contractors, company assets, and the surrounding community.* Ensure all work complies with Momentive’s EHS Management Systems, cybersecurity requirements, and applicable local, state, and federal regulations.* Maintain accountability for safety across engineering projects and maintenance activities, including work performed by contractors and vendors.* Lead the development of detailed engineering designs for new installations, system upgrades, and plant modifications.* Prepare engineering deliverables such as specifications, drawings, and technical documentation for process equipment and fluid handling systems, including heat exchangers, pumps, compressors, safety valves, columns, and reactors.* Provide process design support for capital projects, including scope definition and cost estimation.* Serve as a site subject matter expert in piping and insulation specifications, material selection, and chemical compatibility.* Conduct technical and economic evaluations to support new products and process improvements, assessing plant capacity, operating conditions, investment needs, and potential operational impacts.* Strengthen site engineering capability through mentoring, coaching, and technical development of process and production engineers.* Other duties as assigned* BS degree or higher in Chemical Engineering.* 5+ years of experience in design engineering within an industrial chemical manufacturing environment.* Skilled in process simulation and analysis tools.* Strong understanding of codes and standards (ASME, API,ASTM).* Excellent interpersonal skills are essential.* Strong safety consciousness, strong EHS awareness and familiarity with EHS requirements.* Good written and verbal communication skills.* Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook / Office / Excel/ PowerPoint etc. – computer basics.* Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects.* Technical knowledge in industrial equipment and chemical products.* Familiarity with the following:* SAP* OSI PI data management platform* Chemical Process simulation, preferably CHEMCAD* Process Safety Management knowledge (MOC, PSSR, PHA, LOPA)*The actual salary offered is determined by factors including but not limited to education, experience, skill sets, and geography.
