Lab manager position in pluripotent stem cell biology, neuroscience and adrenal gland biology The Zeltner Lab at the University of Georgia’s Center for Molecular Medicine (CMM) is seeking a creative, motivated, hard‑working and enthusiastic lab technician/lab manager to support the overall operations of a NIH/NINDS/NICHD funded program. The lab focuses on employing human pluripotent stem cells to model diseases of the peripheral nervous system and the adrenal gland. Seven PhD students/postdocs will require support across multidisciplinary projects in stem cell biology, neuroscience, adrenal gland biology and human disease modeling. Career development opportunities include potential biotech start‑up co‑appointment. Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related field of science and 2 years of professional experience Preferred Qualifications
Experience with cell culture and molecular biology techniques Excellent communication skills, strong work ethic, ability to function within a highly interactive and interdisciplinary research community Responsibilities
Keep inventory of supplies; refill as necessary; make aliquots (30% of time) Conduct support experiments, maintain multiple lines of human pluripotent stem cells, coat tissue culture plates, prepare buffers/medias (20%) Train new students in specific techniques (onboarding, qRT-PCR, immunofluorescence) (20%) Manage lab finances, grant‑writing support, collaboration coordination, and other administrative duties (30%) Physical Demands
