Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg night shift position with floating requirements at a hospital setting, requiring a NM or compact RN license.
Responsibilities
Work in the Medical Surgical unit of a hospital
Night shift schedule (4x12 hours, 18:30-7:00)
Options available for 36 or 48 hour work weeks
Must float to similar units within scope as needed
Caring for stroke and post-surgery patients
24/7 central telemetry monitoring tech provided; RN not required to interpret dysrhythmias
Weekends required as needed
First time travelers are welcome to apply
Participation in brief unit orientation is provided
Required to wear professional scrubs in any color without logos
No travel pairs or groups accepted for this assignment
Maximum of 3 days requested time off approved automatically; no time off allowed during first week of orientation
Requirements
Active NM or compact RN license required at time of consideration
Minimum of 1 year recent Med/Surg nursing experience
Current certifications: BLS and NIHSS
EPIC charting experience preferredCandidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility
Former permanent staff must be separated from the system for at least 1 year prior to travel assignment
