Position Responsibilities

Reviews patient admission details within specified time frames and assesses the appropriate level of care based on hospital criteria.

Secures necessary services and advocates for patients, families, and the hospital regarding limited resources throughout the care process.

Participates in interdisciplinary treatment planning meetings and offers guidance during patient care discussions.

Demonstrates advanced expertise in diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, as well as nursing care for patients within the unit.

Conducts thorough patient interviews and completes comprehensive medical histories and physical exams within 24 hours of admission.

Documents all relevant patient information, including history, physical examination, assessment, and treatment plan, in accordance with unit policies and standards.

Initiates referrals and collaborates with medical staff and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care management.

Qualifications

State of Florida Advanced Practice Registered Nurse License.

ACLS Certification; CPR certification required.

Advanced Practice Registered Nurse, Master of Science in Nursing.

At least 1 year of experience as an APRN.
