Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU APRN or PA-C – AdventHealth for Children – Orlando, FL – Full-Time
Overview
Responsibilities
Perform admissions, consultations, and follow‑up care of pediatric patients in the Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU, including intubation, ventilator management, and other necessary procedures.
Manage medical and post‑operative ICU patients, including orders and interpretation of diagnostic tests (laboratory, X‑ray, etc.).
Educate patients and families on treatment plans, surgical procedures, and pre‑ and post‑operative care.
Monitor patient course and make appropriate referrals to physicians or specialists as needed.
Collaborate with physicians and staff to provide consistent care and support to staff.
Pass a third‑party background check and pre‑employment drug screen. Qualifications
Master’s degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant studies (MSN preferred).
1‑3 years of experience as a Pediatric APRN or PA‑C in an ICU, acute care, or ER setting.
Cardiac ICU experience as an APRN or PA‑C (Highly Preferred).
Experience with ECMO (Highly Preferred).
Current, valid Florida APRN license (or eligibility to obtain FL licensure).
BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certification.
Certifications by Certification Board (PNCB) are highly preferred.
Flexible schedule: 12‑hour shifts, days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to perform procedures: lines, intubations, etc. (highly preferred).
