What You’ll Do Here
Function as the mechanical discipline lead on a project.
Act as the mechanical engineer of record for assigned projects, using your professional engineering license to sign and seal mechanical drawings developed under your supervision.
Develop mechanical calculations, reports, studies, specifications, and design drawings such as equipment arrangement, PFD, AFD, P&IDs, and isometric drawings, for water, steam, air, gas, oil systems.
Coordinate an interdisciplinary team of engineers and designers to complete project tasks on schedule and on budget.
Review relevant codes, design documents, specifications, and construction documents to support project development.
Develop material and workhour estimates as well as engineering and design schedules.
What You Bring To The Team
Minimum 10 years of experience in the design of mechanical systems for conventional generation (fossil fueled) power plants.
Minimum 5 years of experience in an engineering leadership position.
Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from a four‑year accredited college or university.
Experience with industry standard engineering software such as AFT Fathom and AFT Arrow.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with multi‑discipline engineers and designers.
Professional Engineering (PE) license in the United States.
MS in Mechanical Engineering is an asset.
Experience in HVAC and Fire Protection design is an asset.
Experience with Autodesk Plant3D is an asset.
Salary Range Base Salary Range: $160,000.00 – $180,000.00 annually
