.Silvus is seeking a full-time**Junior Quality Engineer** that will report to the Director of Quality. The successful individual in this role will support our StreamCaster MANET product development and manufacturing. * Perform acceptance testing on first article PCBs, assemblies, and components in a Linux-based environment.* Prepare assemblies according to established acceptance testing procedures.* Support maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and upgrading of test stations.* Perform rigorous stress testing on fully built assemblies to validate components.* Identify the serviceability of parts and components and appropriate tooling.* Inspect First Article components and subassemblies.* Read and interpret part documentation, including blueprints, drawings, schematics, etc.* Prepare in-process inspection report, ensuring completeness and accuracy.* Work closely with engineering and operations leadership to develop and maintain Quality Assurance and Quality Control documentation.* Collaborate with the engineering and quality teams to identify, investigate, and document any inconsistent or abnormal test results.* As necessary, performs other related duties of which the above are representative.* Associates in related fields or technical programs with at least 1 year of inspection/repair experience.* Experience with utilizing inspection tools (i.e., multi-meters, calipers, micrometers, microscopes).* Ability to read basic schematics, specifically those related to PCBs and PWAs.* Proficient with PC and familiar with MS Office.* Must have excellent organizational skills, be highly attentive to details, and have the capacity to handle numerous tasks simultaneously.* Excellent and effective oral and written communication.* **NOTE - Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen, or U.S. Permanent Resident) due to clients under U.S. federal contracts.*** **All employment is contingent upon the successful clearance of a background check.*** Prior experience in a fast-paced production/manufacturing environment.* Soldering experience.* IPC Certification.- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to do the following:
* Must be able to lift up to 10 lbs.
