Fleet Analyst
Location: Georgia Power (GPC) Forest Park Complex – Forest Park, GA
Summary of Duties This position provides comprehensive financial support to the Power Delivery Fleet organization. The Fleet Financial Analyst is responsible for reviewing procurement purchases and ensuring adherence to the fleet asset life cycle purchase schedule. The role includes monitoring and tracking purchases, conducting monthly reviews of forecast versus actual spending, and preparing detailed variance analyses.
The analyst will leverage multiple databases and financial systems to evaluate business performance, identify financial or operational issues, and recommend solutions that enhance efficiency, optimize spending, and strengthen overall budget and financial results within assigned areas of responsibility.
Job Requirements Job Experience and Education
A 4-year bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, or related field is preferred.
Fleet Operations experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to develop and maintain complex Pivot Tables and data models.
Experience with enterprise asset management and financial systems such as
EAM ,
Maximo , and
Oracle Cloud
applications is highly desirable.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to identify, evaluate, and implement process improvements that enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills — both written and verbal.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while maintaining a positive, proactive, and innovative approach.

Job Responsibilities
Analyze Fleet Services business performance to identify financial or operational issues and recommend solutions that improve efficiency and cost effectiveness.
Prepare monthly reports for fleet capital purchases, comparing actuals to budget and projections for fleet operations and capital expenditures.
Provide detailed variance analysis and summary reports to Fleet management.
Review procurement purchases to ensure compliance with fleet asset life cycle schedules and alignment with approved budget and replacement criteria.
Maintain annual POET numbers and ensure purchases are accurately recorded and reconciled against forecasted spend and capital budget.
Create purchase requisitions and purchase orders to support fleet purchasing, cost control, and contract compliance.
Prepare materials and documentation for monthly fleet budget and prioritization meetings.
Lead data collection, validation, and updates for fleet budget development and projection cycles.
Provide budgeting and financial data to Procurement and Fleet Support personnel.
Ensure accurate accounting of fleet‑related transactions and deliver general accounting support for fleet assets and operations.
Provide management with financial analysis and insights to support resource allocation, cost optimization, and identification of savings opportunities across fleet operations.
Supply accounting data and guidance to Financial Planning for development of fleet‑related financial models.
Maintain visibility of compliance requirements; perform control activities and audits to ensure adherence to internal policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
Lead or participate in special projects focused on improving fleet financial processes, reporting, and operational performance.
Build and maintain effective relationships and communication channels with Fleet Services, Power Delivery, suppliers, and corporate partners.
Support Fleet Services leadership in meeting all budget and cost targets through proactive monitoring and financial management.
