Your responsibilities and tasks At our office in Skanderborg, you will join the Project Execution function within GEA Liquid Technologies. The team works closely across disciplines, bringing together mechanical engineering, process knowledge, project management and procurement to ensure that each project is executed with high technical quality and strong coordination.

As our new Quality Control Engineer, you will work with preventive and operational quality control in the execution of technical plants and process solutions, ensuring high-quality execution in practice. Your focus will be on liquid-based and hygienic process solutions, working closely with process plants, piping systems, tanks and stainless‑steel equipment – where mechanical execution, welding quality and hygienic design make the difference.

You will be involved from order to handover and be regularly on the move, working between the office, suppliers and customer sites. In your day‑to‑day work, you will collaborate closely with project managers, process engineers, procurement and global resources, and depending on the project, you may also be involved in related areas such as food processing, liquid/dry systems or alternative process plants.

Some of your tasks will be to:

Carry out QA/QC activities in projects and ensure compliance with quality, design and hygienic requirements

Conduct supplier audits, workshop inspections and quality control during installations, including welding inspections of stainless steel structures

Review 3D models and technical documentation with a focus on mechanical design, piping and process solutions

Identify quality deviations, follow up on corrective actions and contribute to the continuous improvement of QA/QC processes and supplier quality

As you will be collaborating closely with our customers and suppliers, you can expect some travel in the Nordic region for customer meetings, supplier visits and customer site activities.

Your profile and qualifications With your technical background, you work in a structured and detail‑oriented manner in complex projects. You take a systematic approach and have a strong eye for detail. As a person, you thrive on responsibility and collaboration across the organization.

In addition, we imagine that you:

Hold a technical degree in mechanical engineering or a similar field

Have experience with stainless steel structures and welding

Are familiar with hygienic design principles and/or process or piping systems

Possesses the technical knowledge and hands‑on experience needed to perform inspections of weldings

Are able to identify non‑conformities and follow up on corrective actions

Are proficient in written and spoken English
