Overview Ardurra is seeking a motivated Staff Engineer to join our Transportation Team in Boise Market (Nampa, ID). This is your chance to work on impactful projects that shape the future of transportation infrastructure while growing your career in a collaborative, innovative environment.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited university
EI/EIT certificate or ability to obtain within 3 months
Previous internships or work experience in transportation or land development projects is a plus
Experience using Civil3D or other CAD design software
Proficiency with Microsoft Office: Excel, Word
Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail and quality
Self‑motivated, team‑oriented individual with the ability to work on challenging projects in a team environment
Key Responsibilities
Support Project Engineers in development of transportation designs for roadway and piping
Prepare Construction Plans, Specifications, and Estimates for a variety of projects
Perform assignments under the direct supervision of a Professional Engineer in support of transportation design projects
Work in a team environment on the detailed design of urban and rural roadway projects using state, county, city or AASHTO standards for the design of: horizontal and vertical alignments, cross sections, intersection layout, interchange layout, roadway drainage including hydraulic reports, right of way plans, traffic design, and utility coordination
Produce portions of the following plans: Roadway Sections, Erosion Control, Roadway Plan and Profiles, Drainage Plans and Profiles, Utility Plans, Signal Plans, Sign and Pavement Marking Plans, Traffic Control Plans and Construction Estimates
Assist with the creation and submission of technical reports, specifications, and calculations
Assist on construction engineering and inspection projects in the field
Some travel may be required
Perform other duties as assigned
Physical Requirements
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Ability to navigate various locations and settings of the company
Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
Must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to safely operate a vehicle
Supports other team members with miscellaneous assigned tasks
Prepares plan details and outlines, identifies quantities of materials, cost estimatesand performs calculations for a specific segment of a project
Assists in preparation of technical specifications
Evaluates vendor bids and drawings to assure compliance with specifications
Creates and reviews design drawings within defined limits
Prepares technical reports or sections of larger reports
Prepares permit application packages
Assist in developing and preparing studies and models to support reports, design or planning efforts
From time to time, performs field tests & measurements, and collects field data
Aids and supports proposal team or proposal manager
Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program or equivalent
Experience in utilizing various computer software packages and automated engineering and design equipment
