Windows / VMware Server Administrator

Position: Windows/VMware Server Administrator Responsibilities: Design, implement, and maintain Windows and VMware server environments Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues as needed Perform regular maintenance and updates to ensure system stability and security Configure and manage virtual machines and virtual networks Collaborate with other IT teams and departments to ensure seamless integration and functionality Develop and maintain documentation for server configurations and procedures Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support and maintenance Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in Windows and VMware technologies Provide technical support and guidance to end-users as needed Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field Minimum of 3 years of experience in Windows and VMware server administration Strong knowledge of Windows Server operating systems (2008/2012/2016) and Active Directory Experience with VMware vSphere and vCenter Familiarity with server hardware and networking concepts Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and within a team Strong communication and interpersonal skills Windows Server (2012/2016/2019/2022) administration – AD, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP VMware vSphere, vCenter, ESXi – VM provisioning, migrations, cluster management Veeam backup & restore, DR planning/testing Scripting/automation (PowerShell) OS & security hardening, patching, and updates vROps customization and performance tuning Azure & VMware certifications (preferred)
