Ampersand Therapy is hiring a dedicated Speech‑Language Pathologist (SLP) for the 2025–2026 school year. We have a full-time opportunity starting January 5th until the end of the school year in Vernon Hills, IL.
Founded by women and therapists, Ampersand Therapy began in Washington and is now proudly local to Illinois. Our mission is simple: elevate your school‑based experience with genuine support, meaningful collaboration, and a team that truly understands your work.
Position Details Schedule: Full‑Time Location: In‑person, Hawthorne School District, Middle School Start Date: Immediate need, January 5th, 2026 Service Focus: Evaluations, direct treatment, IEP development, documentation, and team collaboration
Your Key Responsibilities
Provide speech‑language assessments and therapy services
Develop and implement IEPs; participate in IEP meetings
Maintain accurate service logs and progress reports
Collaborate with special education staff and classroom teachers
Support students’ communication goals across school environments
What We’re Looking For
Active Illinois state SLP license (or willingness to obtain quickly)
Illinois PEL with Speech‑Language Pathologist endorsement (or in process)
School experience preferred but not required
Strong clinical, documentation, and communication skills
