Akomi is looking for a
Founding Engineer
to join our early-stage team, working directly with the founders to shape and implement features end-to-end. This role is ideal for a skilled software engineer who is focused on craftsmanship, quality, and is excited to deliver modern AI products to the healthcare industry. What You'll Do
Collaborate closely with the co-founders to take features from idea to implementation. Design, develop, and deploy full-stack solutions, ensuring they can scale for hundreds of providers. Build systems for submitting clinical information via web portals using novel hybrid LLM/computer-use techniques. Implement user-facing features with modern web development patterns and best practices. What We're Looking For
A skilled software engineer with
2-10 years of experience . Proficient in
system design
and
full-stack development . Comfortable working across the stack, handling new tasks outside your comfort zone, and managing ambiguity. Experienced with
Next.js, React, and TypeScript . Experienced with
LLMs
in the context of agents (structured outputs, function calling, etc.). Focused on excelling at the craft of software engineering and product development. Why Join Akomi
