Job Summary The CNC Programmer is responsible for developing, optimizing, and maintaining CNC programs that support precision machining operations. This role works closely with machinists and engineers to translate engineering requirements into efficient, repeatable manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically strong, and motivated to produce high-quality components in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
Create, modify, and maintain CNC programs for milling and turning operations
Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T requirements
Select tooling, fixtures, and cutting parameters to achieve quality and efficiency targets
Collaborate with production and engineering teams to troubleshoot and resolve machining issues
Perform program simulations and verify tool paths prior to release
Maintain accurate documentation for programs, setups, and revisionsEnsure compliance with all safety standards and quality procedures
Support Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
Associate degree or technical certification in CNC programming or machining preferred
Minimum of five years of CNC programming experience in a manufacturing environment
Proficiency with CAD/CAM software such as Mastercam, GibbsCAM, or similar tools
Strong understanding of G-code, M-code, and CNC machine operations
Experience machining a variety of materials, including titanium, stainless steel, Inconel, and plastics
Ability to read complex drawings and apply GD&T principles
Compensation & Benefits
Competitive salary range of $95,000–$105,000, depending on experience
