Position Overview Document Control Administrator – Houston, TX (Full‑time, Monday–Friday 8:00 AM‑5:00 PM, Non‑Exempt)

Key Responsibilities

Compile and maintain control records and related files to release drawings and other documents to manufacturing, subcontractors, and operating departments.

Examine documents such as drawings, change orders, and specifications to verify completeness and accuracy.

Confer with document originators or engineering liaison personnel to resolve discrepancies and ensure high‑quality documents.

Post changes to computerized or manual control records, release documents, and notify affected departments.

Maintain related files and manage the lifecycle history of all numbered documentation using the company data control applications.

Prepare and submit requests for reproduction of documents; operate reproduction equipment when required.

Set up and maintain project master document registers on prescribed software.

Manage throughput of project documentation from internal departments, clients, and suppliers.

Organize documentation for hard copies, CDs, etc., and oversee project document archiving processes.

Perform clerical work, screen mail, and compose correspondence as directed.

Additional responsibilities as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Two (2) or more years of experience in administrative or document control.

High school diploma or GED equivalent.

Proficient in computer software and a willingness to learn specific applications.

Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) required.
