We’re partnering with a leading U.S. manufacturer of custom-engineered power distribution and control systems to help them hire a Project Manager who can oversee the full lifecycle of customer projects from order kickoff through final delivery.
This organization has been a trusted name in electrical equipment for decades and continues to grow through innovation, agility, and strong customer relationships. This role is fully on-site at their Chicagoland facility, working closely with engineering, production, supply chain, and quality teams.
What You’ll Do
Manage projects from order handoff through closeout, ensuring scope, schedule, and customer requirements are met.
Build and maintain project timelines, coordinate resources, and monitor milestones.
Lead communication across engineering, operations, sales, procurement, and external partners.
Conduct project meetings and provide structured progress updates to internal teams and customers.
Identify risks, troubleshoot issues, and manage scope adjustments through formal change processes.
Act as the primary customer contact, ensuring clear and consistent communication throughout the project.
Validate that deliverables meet engineering, safety, and regulatory standards while supporting continuous improvement efforts.
What You Bring
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, construction management, or a closely related field.
3–7 years of project management experience; experience with electrical distribution equipment is beneficial.
Strong organizational capabilities and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-moving environment.
Proficiency with project tracking tools and data/reporting platforms (Excel, Google Sheets, ERP exports; Power BI preferred).
Ability to lead cross-functional teams without direct reporting authority.
Strong communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
Adaptability and a proactive mindset with a collaborative working style.
