The Opportunity The Workplace Experience Generalist is an impactful role that supports the entire organization. This person is responsible for maintaining an environment in which we can all work effectively. This involves supporting vendor relationships and maintaining the overall office environment. This role also assists in special projects and administrative support to the People Team in addition to handling shipments, mail, reception, and general office duties.

Salary Range $45,280 - $56,600

Location Although Root is a “work where it works best” company, this position will require regular work onsite at our headquarters in Columbus, OH.

How You Will Make An Impact

Perform office management

Keep the office tidy, in order, and stock supplies

Maintain an open line of communication with all departments

Move furniture, boxes, and other heavy office equipment

Handle shipments that might include employee laptops, mail, and employee swag

External-facing engagement with partners and vendors

Assist with meetings, including providing A/V support

Greet and check-in visitors

Act as a liaison between the company, staff, and office building management, providing information, answering questions, responding to requests, and additional projects

Coordinate office moves/changes, office parties, and community events

Collaborate with Administrative and Facilities team members to brainstorm effective department procedures and new ideas.

Provide administrative support to Workplace Experience Manager & People Team

What You Will Need To Succeed

1-3 years of office administration preferred; Facilities experience a plus

Effective communication/presentation skills towards all levels of the organization

Ability to learn/flex and adapt to changing business needs

Creative problem solving - ability to know the environment, and effectively use company resources to draw conclusions

Ability to work within a team, across all functions, and complete shared processes/goals

Strong time-management skills and multitasking ability

Strong work ethic with a “roll-up-your-sleeves” attitude and a willingness to go the extra mile

Proficiency in using Microsoft Office and Google Suite tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Gmail and Google Docs)

ADA Compliance

Operate a computer for extended periods

Push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs

Communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners.
