About the Job The Planner/Scheduler is responsible for creating and managing the daily and weekly production schedules for liquid products to ensure efficient workflow, optimal inventory levels, and on‑time delivery to Liquid Product customers. The role collaborates closely with cross‑functional teams to align production plans with inventory availability, procurement activities, and transportation requirements.

What You'll Do

Daily and Weekly Scheduling: Develop, update, and manage the detailed daily and weekly production schedules for liquid products based on demand forecasts, inventory levels, and production capacity.

Production Coordination: Monitor daily manufacturing operations to ensure production aligns with the schedule and adjust plans as needed to respond to equipment availability, staffing changes, or supply constraints.

Communication & Coordination: Maintain regular communication with production, warehouse, purchasing, and transportation teams to ensure alignment with the production schedule and timely delivery of materials.

Continuous Improvement: Identify and recommend schedule adjustments and process improvements to enhance production efficiency and reduce downtime.

Departmental Support: Support the execution of the annual inventory audit in alignment with GSF policies and external audit requirements to ensure compliance and inventory accuracy.

Additional Responsibilities: Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned to support overall departmental goals and operations.

What You'll Need Education and Certification

Bachelor’s degree in Materials Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (preferred).

Experience

3 to 6 years of relevant experience in manufacturing scheduling, transportation, and logistics within a manufacturing environment.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Knowledge of PC word processing/spreadsheet and inventory control software (journey).

Warehousing concepts and techniques (expert).

Inventory, order, financial systems (expert).

Fast food distribution (journey).

Order processing concepts and techniques (journey).

Transportation concepts and techniques (journey).

Food manufacturing (journey).

Management concepts and techniques (journey).

PC word processing/spreadsheet software (journey).

Identify materials flow issues or anomalies and implement appropriate solutions.

Communicate and coordinate effectively with employees through clear verbal and written communication.

Communicate and coordinate effectively with vendors and customers using both verbal and written methods.

Work efficiently in a general business environment with a strong focus on quality and customer service excellence.

Travel as needed by airplane and automobile.
