A stable and growing organization is seeking a detail-oriented
Senior Accountant
to support core financial reporting and technical accounting activities. This role is well-suited for an accounting professional with hands‑on experience in leases and fixed assets who values accuracy, structure, and operational excellence.
The Senior Accountant will play a key role in maintaining financial records, performing reconciliations, preparing financial reporting support, and assisting with audit and analysis activities. This position offers exposure to technical accounting, cross‑functional collaboration, and opportunities to contribute to process improvements within a hybrid work environment.
Base pay range $85,000.00/yr - $95,000.00/yr
Key Responsibilities
Oversee lease accounting and fixed asset activity, including capital project authorization and asset capitalization
Review, approve, and record transactions related to leases and fixed assets in accordance with U.S. GAAP and internal policies
Prepare and post journal entries supporting lease and fixed asset accounting
Perform monthly reconciliations for assigned balance sheet accounts
Support preparation of financial statement disclosures and footnotes
Respond to internal and external audit requests related to assigned areas
Assist with budget preparation and financial forecasting activities
Provide financial analysis and reporting to support management decision‑making
Participate in interim and annual audit processes
Support ad‑hoc accounting projects and process improvement initiatives as needed
Education, Experience, and Skill Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
CPA preferred but not required
3–5 years of progressive accounting experience
Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, including lease accounting (ASC 842)
Hands‑on experience with fixed assets and balance sheet reconciliations
Proficiency with accounting systems and advanced Microsoft Excel
Experience working within large ERP environments (e.g., SAP or similar)
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team
Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills
Seniority level: Associate
