Senior Accountant
King of Prussia, PA (Hybrid Schedule)
About the Company
Our client, a growing healthcare organization based in King of Prussia, PA, is seeking a
Senior Accountant
to join their team. The role serves as the right hand to the Controller, providing hands‑on support with day‑to‑day accounting operations, monthly close, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will bring strong accounting expertise, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to partner closely with leadership in a dynamic, mission‑driven environment.
Position Summary
The Senior Accountant will manage key areas of the accounting cycle and ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting. They will also assist with special projects, process improvements, and act as a trusted resource to both the Controller and senior management.
Key Responsibilities
Support the month‑end and year‑end close process, including journal entries and account reconciliations
Prepare and review financial statements, management reports, and supporting schedules
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
Manage fixed asset accounting and depreciation schedules
Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls
Collaborate with the Controller on process improvements and system enhancements
Assist with annual audit preparation and act as a liaison with external auditors
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior accounting staff when needed
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA or progress toward CPA preferred)
4+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior/staff accountant role
Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, advanced formulas)
Experience in healthcare or related industry preferred, but not required
Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
Competitive salary $90,000 – $105,000
Annual bonus opportunity
Hybrid work schedule (2–3 days onsite in King of Prussia, PA)
