Maintenance Supervisor – Airport Facilities
Job Summary Under direction, is responsible for first line supervisory work in the repair and maintenance of airport facilities, such as fences, roofs, streets, drainage, turf, runways, ramps, and taxiways in accordance with FAA rules and TSA compliance. The role involves office-based planning and direct supervision of staff. Location

6:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., Tuesday - Friday (schedule may vary based on operational needs). Essential Job Functions
Reviews daily work assignments with superior to ensure compliance with planned schedules. Develops work schedules and coordinates work assignments. Instructs lead equipment operators on sketches, specifications, or special requirements. Inspects job sites and work in progress for quality, conformance to work orders, and safety requirements. Keeps records of labor, materials, tools, and equipment used. Supervises, trains, and evaluates assigned employees. Maintains an inventory of supplies and equipment. Provides technical assistance on complex repair or maintenance jobs. Ensures all safety practices and procedures are followed. Performs related duties as required. Job Requirements
High school diploma or GED equivalent (recognized by Texas Education Agency or a regional accrediting agency). Five years of experience in pavement construction and/or maintenance, including one year as foreman or crew leader. Valid Class C Texas Driver’s License. Must pass a TSA Security Threat Assessment and a Criminal History Records check upon employment. Must maintain federally mandated security clearance required to work at an airport at all times. Preferred Qualifications
Traffic paint application experience. Pavement repair experience with concrete and asphalt. Experience operating heavy equipment. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of asphalt and concrete pavement maintenance and repair methods. Knowledge of operating characteristics and requirements of heavy construction equipment. Knowledge of repair and maintenance techniques used on airport facilities such as runways and taxiways. Knowledge of FAA regulations pertaining to ground vehicle movements on active airfields. Knowledge of building maintenance techniques and procedures. Knowledge of fence constructing techniques. Knowledge of basic supervisory techniques and procedures. Ability to set up and shoot grades with a survey transit. Ability to read plans and blueprints. Ability to operate a computer keyboard and other basic office equipment. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively. Ability to supervise and coordinate the work of skilled and semi-skilled workers. Ability to perform all the physical requirements of the position. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, and the general public. Ability to develop work schedules and coordinate work plans.
