Industrial Maintenance Mechanic – Print & Packaging Systems

Base pay range $30.00/hr - $35.00/hr
Shift 2nd Shift available: 2:00pm–10:00pm
Step into a day on our 2nd shift: From 2:00pm–10:00pm, you’ll keep high-speed print and packaging operations running smoothly. You’ll triage urgent tickets, restore uptime on presses and auxiliary gear, and coordinate with teammates to hand off cleanly to the next shift. Your work keeps production on schedule and our customers delighted.
What you’ll handle
Repair and maintain all presses and auxiliary equipment to minimize downtime.
Assist with installation and commissioning of new equipment.
Help schedule daily emergency repairs and set priorities when multiple issues arise.
Keep shift-to-shift communication flowing via voicemail, e‑mail, and in‑person handoffs.
Work at a high physical activity level, including occasionally exerting up to 75 pounds, and perform repetitive reaching, pulling, pushing, lifting, and fingering; move freely on foot throughout the plant.
What you’ll bring
High school diploma or GED.
Two years of Vo-Tech training (required).
Three to five years of experience in a printing facility.
At least two years in building maintenance, machinery repair, electrical wiring, machine shop repairs, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
Clear verbal and written communication plus strong math and mechanical aptitude.
Personal computer skills, including Word, Excel, and e‑mail.
Environment & Safety You’ll work around moving mechanical parts, pinch points, and electrical currents, with exposure to chemicals and high heat. Atmospheric conditions may include fumes, odors, dust, oils, cutting fluids, and ultraviolet light. Manual dexterity and excellent hand–eye coordination are essential.
