Responsibilities

Assist attorneys in the preparation and filing of legal documents and correspondence related to labor and employment cases.

Conduct legal research and analysis on relevant laws, regulations, and legal articles.

Organize and maintain documents in a paper or electronic filing system.

Manage case files and documentation, ensuring all relevant information is current and accessible.

Prepare for and attend trials, hearings, and meetings, taking notes and providing attorneys with necessary documentation.

Coordinate and schedule meetings, interviews, and depositions.

Draft legal documents such as contracts, affidavits, and pleadings under the supervision of an attorney.

Maintain the calendar of attorneys, ensuring all deadlines are met.

Liaise with clients, witnesses, and outside counsel as needed.

Qualifications

A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Paralegal, preferably in labor and employment law.

Paralegal certification or equivalent required.

Proven experience conducting legal research and preparing legal documents.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research software.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Knowledge of legal terminology and principles.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
