IO Datasphere, Inc. has been providing project management, software development and IT staff augmentation services to our clients in the Midwest and throughout the U.S. since 1996. We are an approved vendor on contract to provide software development and IT staff augmentation services for the States of Illinois, Michigan, Minnesota, Iowa, and Wisconsin.

Our client is looking for a Certified Project Manager who will be responsible for managing and coordinating the development, management, and implementation of high‑profile projects that support the services provided to children and families.

Project Details : Provide project management support for the Preschool Development Grant – overseeing and tracking budget status, grant deliverables, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Project management functions across all assigned projects, including oversight of workplans, timelines, and evaluation efforts.

External & internal stakeholder engagement; communicate project status to Department Management Teams, workgroups, providers, and advocacy organizations.

Develop automated tools to streamline internal processes and make project development and execution efforts more efficient.

Overall coordination, status reporting, and stability of project‑oriented work efforts.

Establish and implement project management processes and methodologies to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, adhere to high quality standards, and meet customer expectations. Assemble project plans and team assignments, direct and monitor daily work efforts, identify resource needs, perform quality reviews, and appropriately escalate functional, quality, or timeline issues.

Track key project milestones and adjust project plans and/or resources to meet customer needs.

Coordinate communication with all enterprise areas that impact the scope, budget, risk, and resources of the work effort being managed.

Assist program manager(s) in partnering with senior management of the business community to identify and prioritize opportunities for utilizing IT to achieve enterprise goals.

Possess extensive knowledge and expertise in project management methodologies, tools, resource management practices, and change management techniques.

Human resources responsibilities (e.g., hiring, performance management).

Manage one or more cross‑functional projects of medium to high complexity; a more senior role with responsibility for multiple large, complex projects with greater enterprise impact.

Required Skills and Abilities

Written and verbal communication

Critical thinking

Excellent organizational and communication skills, ability to work with minimal direction and oversight

10+ years of project management experience

10+ years of developing project artifacts (plan, charter, status reports, etc.)

7 years of preparing written reports

5 years of preparing executive briefings

5 years of using MS Project or equivalent

Certified PMP certificate or recognized project manager curriculum

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, business administration, or related field

NOTE:

Candidate must be a WI resident or willing to relocate to WI prior to starting the role at their own expense. Local candidates preferred. This position is currently remote (90% remote, 10% onsite as needed). Onsite work is not likely, but candidates should be prepared to come onsite if required. Candidate will be required to provide certificate at time of submission.
