Responsible for coordinating production planning, scheduling, and procurement to ensure on-time delivery to customers. This role manages inventory levels, issues purchase orders, plans machine capacity, and works closely with suppliers, production teams, and engineering to support efficient manufacturing operations.

Production Planning & Scheduling

Develop and maintain production schedules for machines and secondary operations.

Review sales forecasts, customer orders, and inventory levels to determine production requirements.

Coordinate with manufacturing supervisors to ensure optimal machine utilization, labor allocation, and material availability.

Monitor work‑in‑progress (WIP) and adjust schedules based on capacity, downtime, or priority changes.

Procurement & Supplier Management

Source and purchase raw materials, resins, colorants, packaging, inserts, and tooling components.

Manage supplier performance, negotiate pricing, and maintain strong supplier relationships.

Issue and maintain purchase orders, ensuring accurate lead times, quantities, and delivery dates.

Resolve supply issues, shortages, or quality concerns with vendors.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement production plans for injection molding & assembly operations to meet customer order commitments.

Monitor inventory levels of components, packaging & raw materials, placing purchase orders as needed while maintaining optimal stock levels.

Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers; negotiate pricing for materials related to injection molding processes.

Ensure timely delivery of materials to minimize production downtime while adhering to quality standards.

Utilize ERP/MRP systems for tracking inventory, production schedules, and order fulfillment.

Prepare and present reports on production plans & purchasing activities to manager.

Requirements

2–5+ years of experience in planning, buying, or supply chain roles.

Proficient in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

Preferred Skills

Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and methodologies.

Familiarity with ERP systems, specifically those used in manufacturing contexts.

Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Ability to work collaboratively & independently in a fast‑paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
