RESPONSIBILITIES
Kforce has a client in Armonk, NY that is seeking an Ideal/Datacom SME.
REQUIREMENTS
5 years of hands‑on experience with CA IDEAL and CA Datacom in mainframe environments
Proven expertise in developing, maintaining, and enhancing large‑scale enterprise applications using ideal/Datacom
Strong coding and testing experience in IDEAL/DATACOM and COBOL/CICS/DTACOM combinations
Experience in production support and maintenance
Experience with JCL, CICS, COBOL, VSAM, and batch processing in a mainframe environment
Knowledge of Datacom QDRY and DB utilities, along with performance tuning expertise
Experience in mainframe testing tools, version controllers and job schedulers, such as Xpeditor, Endevor, Control‑M, etc.
Exceptional debugging and problem‑solving skills with a focus on root cause analysis
Ability to resolve complex technical issues quickly and efficiently in a high‑pressure environment
Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with business stakeholders, technical teams, and non‑technical users
Preferred
Experience with modernization of legacy systems, including migrations or integrations with more modern platforms
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
