Fabrication Tech - Sheet Metal

Summary Perform fabrication of structural or sheet metal products, handforming or aligning to specifications with .003 tolerance requirements.

Responsibilities

Follow and know Job Safety Analysis for each job being performed.

Use all free‑standing shop equipment.

Form and shape metal parts to desired specifications using a variety of methods, including machinery and hand tools.

Check work using specified gauges on instruments to insure specified tolerances are maintained.

Inspect or measure workpieces using measuring instruments.

Study blueprints or plan to determine product dimensions.

Verify slots or adjust with gapping tools.

Align parts to acceptable tolerances per applicable customer specifications.

Clean parts as required.

Clean work areas, machines, tools, and equipment.

Process certain job/parts to Mylar.

Other related duties as assigned.
