Location 3811 W 13 Mile Rd, Royal Oak MI 48073
Schedule Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm
Pay Rate Starting at $18.00 / Hourly (based on experience) + Benefits
Dean's Professional Services is actively seeking a Shipping and Receiving Clerk who serves as the face of our organization, providing exceptional service in maintaining efficient warehouse operations and supporting internal departments.
The Shipping & Receiving Clerk is responsible for accurately handling all incoming and outgoing materials for the Business Unit (BU).
Responsibilities
Receive, inspect, verify, and process all materials arriving at the facility and remote sites, entering receipts into the Materials Management system.
Notify the Warehouse Manager of any discrepancies between shipments and shipping documentation.
Prepare and process outbound shipments, including required documentation.
Manage the Returned Goods process according to established SOPs.
Deliver stock to appropriate departmental staging areas.
Store warehoused items in designated locations and rotate inventory based on receipt and expiration dates.
Identify and report short-dated materials (less than 30 days) to the Warehouse Manager.
Assist with cycle counts and full physical inventory activities.
Comply with all Materials and Services Management, OSHA, CLIA, HR, and safety policies and procedures.
Recommend process improvements to management based on workflow observations.
Assist with order entry, picking, packing, and delivery of internal and external orders.
Support record storage, retrieval, and mail distribution (internal, inbound, and external).
Operate material-handling equipment as needed, including forklifts and pallet jacks.
Perform additional duties as assigned to support warehouse and facility operations.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum of 6 months of materials management or warehouse experience required.
Data entry experience preferred.
Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
Accurate record-keeping and attention to detail.
Ability to operate computers, printers, and barcode scanners.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) or equivalent software.
Ability to lift up to 70 lbs and perform physical tasks such as bending, lifting, and carrying.
Ability to safely operate material‑handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
