Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position with both adult and pediatric patient care and PALS, ACLS, and KY or compact RN license requirements.
Responsibilities
Work in a Med/Surg Tele unit within a hospital setting
Care for both adult and pediatric patients (ages 6 and up)
Day shift, 3x12 hour shifts from 7:00 to 19:00
Nurse to patient ratios range from 1:6 to 1:8
Utilizes computerized documentation
Includes O2 protocol management, non-invasive airway management, and peripheral line care
Responsible for managing care across adult and pediatric populations
Must be able to activate rapid response teams and follow isolation protocols
Peripheral line care and non-invasive airway management are part of daily duties
Two professional references are required for consideration
Requirements
Active KY or compact RN license
Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS required upon hire
Minimum 2 years of recent experience in a similar setting
Pediatric experience with patients age 6 and older required
Experience with rapid response activation and isolation precautions/PPE
