Parts Counter Sales
Carolina International Trucks is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Parts Counter Sales Representative. This person is responsible for providing exceptional customer service by assisting customers in identifying and purchasing the correct parts for their medium and heavy duty truck needs. This involves utilizing product knowledge, navigating inventory systems, processing orders, and building strong customer relationships.
Responsibilities
Sell parts to all customers, over the counter, through the shop, or on the phone.
Assist all customers (retail and shop) in selecting the required parts in a friendly, professional and efficient manner.
Inform customers of companion part requirements and specials and ensure that the customer is presented with the full product line.
Answer phone calls, providing price quotes and other information.
Provide a high level of service to internal and external customers.
Pull and fill orders from stock.
Locate out-of-stock parts from outside sources and submit an emergency order, if necessary.
Keep counter areas clean and uncluttered.
Participate in all training programs that are made available.
Stay current on new products and product updates.
Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent.
Proven experience in parts sales or customer service, preferably in the medium and heavy duty truck industry.
Strong knowledge of automobile parts and terminology.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to use computer systems and navigate inventory software.
Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (if applicable).
Valid driver’s license.
