Kitchen Manager Five Iron Golf – Coral Gables

Five Iron Golf – Coral Gables is the region’s premier indoor golf and entertainment experience, offering a lively and welcoming environment for all guests. Our mission is to make golf inclusive and accessible while delivering exceptional food, beverage, and customer service experiences.

Key Responsibilities

Build, lead, and mentor a high‑performing kitchen team, fostering a collaborative work environment.

Hire and onboard culinary team members; set expectations and maintain accountability.

Coach and develop kitchen staff to uphold quality and consistency in food preparation and presentation.

Oversee all kitchen operations, including scheduling, inventory, purchasing, and food safety compliance.

Ensure efficient and effective service periods, maintaining timely and smooth kitchen execution.

Partner with the General Manager to align kitchen goals with business targets, including food and labor cost control.

Develop and evolve event menus, reflecting culinary trends and maintaining brand identity.

Test and implement new recipes and collaborate with the beverage team on pairings.

Lead food production for events, including private parties, corporate functions, and special occasions.

Collaborate with the events team for successful culinary execution and presentation.

Address guest feedback and drive continuous improvement in culinary offerings.

Maintain positive guest interactions and foster a culture of hospitality within the kitchen.

Build strong vendor relationships to ensure quality ingredients and cost‑effective sourcing.

Represent the Five Iron Golf brand at industry events and within the local community.

Required Qualifications

Culinary degree or professional certifications (e.g., CEC) or equivalent experience.

Minimum of 5 years of culinary leadership in a high‑volume, fast‑paced environment.

Proven ability to build and lead high‑performing kitchen teams.

Strong culinary creativity and technical skill with a passion for innovation.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines under pressure.

Proficiency with Google Suite and restaurant management software.

English fluency required; Spanish language skills a plus.
