Work 12-hour night shifts with 36 guaranteed hours per week
Patient ratio of 1:4-6
Weekend coverage required based on operational needs
2 years minimum IMC experience required
Charge nurse experience required
Must successfully pass Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with minimum 80% overall score and 100% on lethal rhythms
Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
Experience required with chest tubes, PCA infusions, bedside monitoring, non-titratable drips, IV infusions
Care for patients with diagnoses including CHF, diabetes, COPD/asthma, sepsis, pneumothorax, ESRD/dialysis, hypertension/hypotension, ETOH withdrawal, general surgery
Must wear Caribbean blue scrubs (not provided by facility)
Skills include central line care/management, chest tubes, CVA care, external CPAP/BIPAP, feeding tube management, heparin protocols, high flow nasal cannula, dysrhythmia interpretation and management
Work with bedside monitoring equipment for up to 8 patients, ultrasound IV, cardiac monitoring, lift equipment
24-hour orientation provided
Unit has 15 beds with daily census of 15 adult patients
Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and other services
