Responsibilities Respiratory therapists assist patients who have breathing difficulties, including chronic respiratory diseases such as emphysema and asthma. They provide care to patients ranging from infants with undeveloped lungs to adults with lung disease, and may give emergency aid for breathing problems, heart attack, drowning, or shock.
Qualifications
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RT) credential.
Experience in inpatient settings is preferred.
Ability to work 12‑hour night shifts.
Proven ability to manage critical respiratory emergencies.
