Job Details
Work 12‑hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM with a 30‑minute unpaid lunch break
Night shifts available with an every‑other‑weekend schedule
Work 2 weekends per 4‑week cycle
Holiday requirement: 2 days and 1 evening or 2 evenings and 1 day for Christmas, New Year's, and Thanksgiving
Patient ratio of 1:5 on a 48‑bed telemetry unit (4A and 4B)
First to float to East Campus and possibly PCU if qualified
Required certifications: ACLS and BLS
Navy blue scrubs required
One shift of unit‑specific orientation provided
Must be able to read basic telemetry strips and interpret them at least once per shift
Experience with general and orthopedic surgical patients, CVA, and TIA required
Cerner experience recommended due to limited orientation
Care for patients with COVID, respiratory issues, GI conditions, diabetes, telemetry, TIA, CVA, and general/orthopedic/spinal surgical patients
Work with equipment including BiPAP, CPAP, high‑flow oxygen, and breathing treatments
Handle set‑rate Diltiazem drips (no titration required)
Work alongside nurse aides (1:10‑15 ratio), charge nurses, and remotely monitored telemetry
Four‑week self‑scheduling system with manager balancing
Cancellation policy: 4 shifts per contract (3 shifts if contract under 13 weeks)
No call or standby requirements
