Key Job Duties and Responsibilities
Assist residents with activities of daily living (e.g., transferring, bathing, dressing, toileting).
Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and community policies.
Record vital signs and maintain accurate documentation.
Assist with feeding, hygiene, and personal grooming.
Maintain cleanliness of care areas and medical rooms.
Assist with housekeeping, laundry, and bed linen management.
Perform minor maintenance and inventory of supplies.
Provide shift reports and assist with staff compliance monitoring.
Respond to emergencies, including evacuation of residents.
Work rotating weekends and holidays.
Essential Physical Requirements
Regular worksite attendance.
Complete required in‑service education and Relias assignments on time.
Annual skills check‑off with RN.
Basic computer skills.
Operate motor vehicle if required per Policy.
Read, write, speak, and understand English.
Work beyond normal hours, including weekends and holidays.
Assist in resident evacuation during emergencies.
Perform tasks with or without reasonable accommodation.
Use transfer/gait belt or assistance when lifting/carrying >25 lbs.
Lift up to 10 lbs constantly; 11–25 lbs frequently; 26–50 lbs frequently; over 50 lbs frequently; carry up to 10 lbs constantly; 11–25 lbs occasionally; 26–50 lbs occasionally; over 50 lbs rarely; reach above shoulder height frequently; at shoulder height constantly; below shoulder height constantly; push/pull constantly; grasping constantly; handling constantly; torquing occasionally; fingering frequently.
Twisting, bending, crawling, squatting, kneeling, crouching, climbing, balancing required.
Must be able to work with ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, hostile individuals.
Must have adequate vision/hearing or prosthetics to perform duties.
