Registered Nurse (RN) – The Carolina Center for Behavioral Health
The Carolina Center for Behavioral Health is currently hiring registered nurses to join our team of dedicated professionals in the New Year.
Location:
Greer, South Carolina (serves Greenville, Spartanburg, Anderson, and regions throughout South Carolina and western North Carolina).
About The Carolina Center for Behavioral Health 156‑bed private behavioral health system located on 13 acres in the Greenville, South Carolina Area. Specializing in psychiatric programs and substance‑abuse treatments such as detox and rehab, the Center serves patients across multiple counties and offers inpatient, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient treatment.

Summary of Job Duties Provide primary care coordination for patients and implement a collaborative care plan as prescribed by the physician and treatment team.
Essential Job Functions
Administers patient medications prescribed by the physician.
Completes nursing assessments, updates treatment care plans, and participates in treatment planning.
Helps maintain the therapeutic milieu on the unit, including facilitation of community meetings.
Maintains patient, program, department, and related documentation.
Effectively manages psychiatric crisis emergency situations.

Requirements Education:
ADN or BSN in nursing from an accredited School of Nursing required.
Licensure:
South Carolina registered nurse license with current registration required; a multi‑state license including South Carolina in the compact is also acceptable.
Preferred Experience Zero to one year of experience required (two years preferred). Experience with psychiatric patient care techniques and an understanding of mental illness is preferred.
Additional Requirements
Successful completion of Management Aggressive Behavior Training (HWC) before unit orientation.
Certification through the American Red Cross or American Heart Association for CPR before independent patient assignment.
Work Hours Day shift: 7:00 am–7:30 pm on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday or Saturday, Sunday, Monday.
