Job Overview:
The assistant coach reports directly to the head coach and supports all aspects of the girls soccer program, including staffing, equipment management, injury reporting, scheduling, and award planning.
Essential Functions
Assist the head coach as directed with the following:
Organize and direct coaching staff
Collect physical examination forms
Collect insurance release forms
Report injuries to school nurse
Take inventory and submit a list of equipment needs
Check out and collect all equipment
Keep accurate records and reports of lost or stolen equipment
Provide a roster of players
Provide the Athletic Director with a list of athletes to receive awards at the end of the season and plan the awards ceremony
Ensure proper team conduct on trips and during contests
Know all rules pertaining to the sport
Treat injuries or attend to athletes
Clean and maintain equipment and uniforms
Organize practice sessions
Qualifications
Certified teacher or must qualify for Rule 10 approval through the Kansas State High School Activities Association
