Position Description Ryder is immediately hiring Permanent Full‑Time Cherry Picker/Order Picker operators in Port Deposit, Maryland.
Warehouse Positions Pay Weekly
Base pay: $21.50 per hour
Shift pay: $1.00 per hour for night shift
Available Schedules: Days – Wednesday 12:00 pm‑6:00 pm; Thursday‑Saturday 6:00 am‑6:00 pm
Nights – Wednesday 12:00 am‑6:00 am; Thursday‑Saturday 6:00 pm‑6:00 am

Products being handled: Retail items
Equipment: Cherry pickers, order pickers, pallet jacks, forklifts, etc. Must be okay with heights up to 30 feet on a lift.

Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred
Valid forklift operator's license certification
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Team‑player able to work in a diverse work environment
Professional relationships that span all levels of the organization
Highly thorough and dependable
Punctual with a good attendance record
Performs work independently with minimal supervision
High initiative
High level of accuracy, even under pressure
Ability to lift or push/pull up to 35 lbs
Ability to stand for long periods
Ability to work using health and safety methods
Flexible schedule across various work shifts
Detail‑oriented with excellent follow‑up practices
Important Note:
Some positions require additional screening that may include employment and education verification, motor vehicle records check, a road test, and/or badging or background requirements of the customer to which you are assigned.
Responsibilities
Perform warehouse functions including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
Perform duties within performance measurement guidelines of the contract.
Responsible for accurate picking and packing, auditing, tote induction, staging of products, and loading/unloading of trucks.
Handle day‑to‑day paperwork in the warehouse environment (picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.).
Provide technical and maintenance support for aspects related to the automated packing system during the core shift hour of production.
Perform other duties as assigned.
