Position Overview The Receiving Clerk is responsible for receiving, inspecting, and organizing all incoming raw materials, packaging, and supplies used in food production. This role plays an important part in maintaining accurate inventory, ensuring quality, and supporting smooth daily operations. Experience with HACCP and food safety programs is required.
Key Responsibilities
Receive and unload deliveries of raw ingredients, packaging, and supplies
Verify incoming materials against purchase orders, invoices, and quality standards
Conduct quality checks following HACCP, food safety, and company guidelines
Label, store, rotate, and track inventory to ensure freshness and traceability
Enter receiving data accurately into the inventory system
Communicate any shortages, damages, or variances to management promptly
Keep receiving and storage areas clean, organized, and compliant
Assist with inventory counts and audits
Work closely with Production and Quality Assurance teams to support daily production needs
Qualifications
1+ year of warehouse, receiving, or inventory experience (food manufacturing preferred)
Knowledge of HACCP, GMPs, and food safety standards
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and move safely in a refrigerated environment
Comfortable using computer-based inventory systems
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently and with a team
