Administrative Support Technician II – Community Outreach
Position Overview
Cover the main entrance desk at the Grempler Building, greet the public, answer the main phone line, monitor incoming emails and social media accounts, and support the Community Outreach and Youth Divisions. Report to the Commander of the Community Services Bureau.
Responsibilities
Greet the public and assist citizens with police‑related inquiries.
Answer the Community Outreach main phone line and monitor incoming emails and social media accounts.
Order and maintain office supplies and research and order community policing giveaways.
Assist with community and staff meetings, including facility scheduling and document preparation.
Maintain the Community Outreach and Youth Division calendars of events.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED and three (3) years of related experience or equivalent combination.
NCIC/METERS certification preferred.
Strong computer literacy, especially with Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong customer service skills and the ability to prepare and present ideas in a clear and concise manner, both orally and in writing.
Valid driver’s license.
Physical Demands & Work Environment Frequent sitting, talking, and hearing; occasional standing and walking; occasional lifting or moving up to 25 pounds. Moderate noise level.
