Position Description:

This role is within a 515‑bed acute care hospital serving the local community. The facility offers comprehensive services including cardiology, cardiovascular surgery, oncology, orthopedics, robotic‑assisted surgery, critical care, neurology/neurosurgery, urology, gastroenterology, obstetrics, pulmonary, and rehabilitative medicine. The hospital is the area’s only comprehensive CARF‑accredited physical rehabilitation facility and includes specialized Emergency Departments for seniors and children, a Kids’ ER, and advanced stroke, chest pain, and behavioral health programs.

Job Summary:

The Physical Therapist provides high‑quality, patient‑centered care by managing the complete process of physical therapy for assigned patients in coordination with physicians and the patient care team. Responsibilities include patient assessments, development and implementation of individualized care plans, patient engagement, and supporting patients throughout the continuum of care.

Job Duties:

Provide evaluations and treatment interventions within scope of practice and professional standards

Assess and evaluate therapeutic, rehabilitative, and functional status; participate in total plan of care development

Deliver purposeful, skilled therapeutic care using procedures and techniques to improve patient condition/function consistent with physician’s plan of care

Instruct patients, families, and caregivers on therapies, exercises, therapeutic appliances, and prosthetic devices for use outside therapy sessions

Prioritize caseload, determine daily staffing needs, and coordinate assignments and handoffs

Qualifications:

Open to new graduates; experience not required

Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy

State Licensed Physical Therapist

Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within 30 days of employment start date

Pay Details:

$35.77 to $49.18 per hour
