Position Overview We are an asset-based specialty finance company focused on providing non-dilutive capital solutions to our borrowers. Our team is committed to delivering exceptional service and operational excellence across every touchpoint of the funding lifecycle, from initial application through portfolio servicing.

The Lending Operations Associate is responsible for the end-to-end operational execution of the lending lifecycle, from client onboarding and documentation preparation through funding execution and portfolio servicing. This role serves as the operational backbone of our lending operations, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance at every stage of the deal process.

This is NOT a general financial operations role.

You will work directly with lending documentation, underwriting teams, and funding processes specific to specialty finance.

Lending Lifecycle Management

Execute full lending lifecycle: client onboarding, underwriting coordination, documentation preparation, funding execution, and portfolio servicing

Prepare, review, and manage loan documentation (loan agreements, promissory notes, security agreements, UCC filings) ensuring 100% accuracy

Lead client onboarding by collecting required documentation (financial statements, bank statements, tax returns, corporate documents)

Track deal progress from application through funding, proactively identifying and resolving bottlenecks

Coordinate seamlessly with underwriting, sales, credit analysis, and finance teams to ensure timely deal execution

Loan Documentation & Compliance

Prepare and finalize loan documents in accordance with credit approval terms and legal requirements

Coordinate document execution, notarization, and witness requirements

File and track UCC financing statements and amendments

Ensure all documentation meets internal quality standards and regulatory compliance requirements

Maintain comprehensive, organized digital filing systems with proper document retention

Underwriting Coordination

Support underwriting team by organizing financial documentation and verification materials

Verify accuracy and completeness of financial information submitted by applicants

Track outstanding conditions and requirements from credit approval

Prepare underwriting summaries and deal status reports for management

Funding Execution

Coordinate funding processes including wire transfers, ACH payments, and check disbursements

Verify all funding conditions are satisfied prior to disbursement

Collaborate with finance team to ensure accurate booking of new loans

Maintain detailed funding logs and transaction records

Data Management & Systems Administration

Enter and maintain accurate loan data in CRM and loan management systems

Maintain data integrity through regular quality checks and systematic updates

Serve as power user of loan origination and portfolio management systems

Generate reports on pipeline status, deal velocity, and operational metrics

Pipeline & Workflow Management

Monitor and update pipeline status, outstanding requirements, and follow-up activities

Proactively manage deal timelines, escalating potential delays to management

Coordinate cross-functional communication to maintain smooth workflow

Track and report on conversion rates and operational efficiency metrics

Process Improvement & Problem Solving

Identify operational pain points and recommend workflow optimization solutions

Create and maintain standard operating procedures for lending processes

Test and provide feedback on new systems or procedural changes

Resolve routine operational issues independently using sound judgment

Required Qualifications Experience

4-6 years of experience in lending operations, loan processing, or credit operations

Direct experience with specialty lending, asset-based lending, commercial lending, merchant cash advance, factoring, or equipment finance STRONGLY PREFERRED

Demonstrated progression in operational responsibility and complexity

Hands‑on experience with loan documentation preparation and review

Technical Skills

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data manipulation)

Experience with CRM systems (Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar platforms)

Comfortable learning and adapting to loan origination systems and lending platforms

Experience with document management systems and digital filing

Industry Knowledge

Understanding of lending operations, documentation workflows, and funding processes

Familiarity with loan documentation (loan agreements, promissory notes, security agreements)

Knowledge of UCC filing procedures and lien perfection

Basic understanding of credit analysis and underwriting processes

Preferred Qualifications

Experience at alternative lenders, asset‑based lending companies, or specialty finance firms

Knowledge of commercial lending compliance and regulations

Experience with loan origination systems (nCino, Encompass, or similar platforms)

Previous experience in startup or high‑growth lending environments

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)

Certification in operations management or lending operations

Compensation & Benefits

Competitive salary range: $75,000 - $100,000 annually (commensurate with lending operations experience)
