Position Description
Ryder is opening a brand new warehouse in Apopka, FL and will be hiring Permanent Full‑Time Warehouse Associates. Warehouse positions pay weekly:
Hourly Pay: $18.00 per hour
Additional Pay: $1.00 per hour when working second shift
Schedule: Second Shift Sunday‑Wednesday 4:30 pm – 3:00 am
Various warehouse fulfillment specialist roles at Ryder support distribution across the U.S. We want the right Warehouse Associate to join us at Ryder and work in the safest supply chain environment with state‑of‑the‑art equipment.

Qualifications
High‑school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
Six months of related warehouse experience (required); one year or more preferred
Ability to operate powered industrial trucks (stand‑up and sit‑down forklifts, cherry pickers, pallet jacks); intermediate level required
Certification to operate powered industrial trucks
Ability to read and perform basic mathematics in English for safety instructions and work notices
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted
Ability to input data into the WMS computer system(s) in use
Ability to work overtime as assigned
Ability to create and maintain professional relationships at all levels
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Flexibility to operate and self‑driven to excel in a fast‑paced environment
Capable of multi‑tasking, highly organized with excellent time‑management skills, detail‑oriented, with excellent follow‑up practices
Ability to use manual and automated warehouse equipment (e.g., packaging line) (intermediate preferred)
Important note: Some positions may require additional screening that may include employment and education verification, motor‑vehicle records check, a road test, and/or badging or background requirements of the customer to which a candidate is assigned.
Responsibilities
Package, kit, and/or assemble orders and materials
Load and unload inbound/outbound trailers
Ensure all scanning is completed correctly
Help train dock employees on new procedures
Ensure facility is secure at end of shift; investigate/resolve scanning issues and housekeeping
Perform picking and packing duties; check for product or container damage
Perform assigned tasks as described in the location’s policies and procedures, including handling materials within associated logical transactions
Perform material moves with associated physical/logical transactions as required
Participate in workgroup and other team activities for self‑improvement and better warehouse operations
Perform housekeeping duties for assigned area
Perform other duties as assigned
