Direct Care Worker (DCW) – Eisenhower Center We are growing and looking for Direct Support Professionals!

Do you have a caregiving background? Have experience providing exceptional care and redirecting behaviors? Do you have knowledge of CMH/TBI residents?

Job Details Location: onsite in Ann Arbor, MI

Position: DSP

Hourly: $17.20 – $17.70 (Hours: 11:30pm–8am)

Benefits start after 30 days: Health, Dental, Vision and more.

All offers of employment are contingent upon background screens.

Direct Support Professional Essential Duties

Provide opportunities throughout the day to help residents meet their goals.

Adhere to the person-centered plans and behavior plans as written for each resident.

Provide quality care and maintain a safe, healthy setting free from harm, upholding residents’ rights.

Transport residents and attend appointments, advocate, and obtain necessary documentation when needed.

Remain awake and immediately accessible in all homes requiring 24/7 care.

Staff in full-time or part-time slots are expected to work the set schedule consistently and may pick up additional shifts with approval.

Key Accountability Items

Maintain zero advisements for performance issues (attendance, documentation, compliance, engagement, attitude, paraverbal).

Attend all shifts on time and report during shift exchange.

Accurate and complete documentation (DPN, DDS, unit documentation).

Fully compliant with all training and policy updates.

Maintain engagement with residents during shift.

Positive attitude on the floor and with residents and staff.

No poor paraverbal usage while on the floor.

Preferred Qualifications and Education Requirements

High school diploma or GED.

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Previous experience in healthcare field.

Experience providing direct care to individuals with disabilities.

Ability to accept constructive feedback.

Pass background checks as required by regulatory agencies.

Follow instructions, work independently, demonstrate patience and empathy.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Knowledge of CMH/TBI residents and behavioral redirection.

Provide exceptional care and assistance with ADLs.

Exercise tact and responsibility handling confidential information.
