Staff – Registered Nurse (RN) – Short Stay – $47 per hour
Cook Children’s Health Care System is looking for a Registered Nurse (RN) for Short Stay assignments in Fort Worth, TX.
Job Overview The RN will deliver comprehensive care to children and families according to identified needs. Nursing care is based on the nursing process and augments the medical plan of treatment. The RN works as part of a team, focusing on strong customer relations, sound clinical judgment, and evidence‑based practice.
Location Medical Center – Fort Worth
Department: 6 M Short Stay
Schedule
Shift: 7 p.m. – 7 a.m.
Hours: 36 per week, 12‑hour shifts
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: Ongoing
Employment Type: Staff
Responsibilities
Provide skilled nursing care in a short‑stay setting.
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to implement patient care plans.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
Engage families in the care process and provide education.
Utilize evidence‑based practices and maintain clinical competencies.
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
Minimum 6 months RN experience.
Current Texas nursing license or permit.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Additional certification (PALS/NRP) if assigned to charge nurse role.
Other certifications as required by the Medical Center.
