Pediatric Anaesthesia Associates PSC, located in Louisville, Kentucky, currently is recruiting multiple physicians to join its growing metropolitan practice.
Candidates have a unique opportunity to join this well-established private practice group that is affiliated with University of Louisville School of Medicine. Currently, the practice includes 15 physicians, 15 certified registered nurse anesthetists, two sedation nurse practitioners and three preoperative nurse practitioners.
Pediatric Anesthesia Associates is the exclusive provider of pediatric anesthesiology services at Norton Childrens Hospital, a Level I Pediatric Trauma Center and member of the American College of Surgeons National Surgical Quality Improvement Program. Norton Childrens is ranked No.1 in Kentucky on the U.S. News & World Report Best Childrens Hospitals list for 2024-2025 and is ranked nationally in seven pediatric specialties.
In addition to supporting Norton Childrens Hospital, Pediatric Anaesthesia Associates provides daytime coverage for two pediatric outpatient surgery centers at Norton Childrens Medical Center and Norton Womens & Childrens Hospital.

General Pediatric Anesthesiologist
$125,000 sign-on bonus; $15,000 relocation assistance
Collaborate with surgeons, neonatologists, pediatric critical care specialists and other specialists providing anesthetic care to more than 18,000 patients annually
Support inpatient and outpatient surgery at Norton Childrens Hospital, as well as outpatient surgery at Norton Childrens Medical Center and Norton Womens & Childrens Hospital
Supervise a comprehensive sedation service for all patients at Norton Childrens Hospital
Participate in state-of-the-art neonatal care for a 101-bed Level IV neonatal intensive care unit
The practice supports physicians individual career interests by providing various opportunities for leadership roles
Pediatric Cardiac Anesthesiologist
$140,000 sign-on bonus; $15,000 relocation assistance
Collaborate with Norton Childrens Heart Institute, affiliated with UofL School of Medicine, the only comprehensive pediatric heart surgery, heart failure and transplant program in Kentucky with outcomes that rival similar programs in the region
Provide anesthesia services for more than 230 heart surgeries annually, including heart transplants, almost 400 cardiac catheterizations and 126 electrophysiology procedures
Work alongside a specialized team of providers consisting of four congenital cardiac anesthesiologists, 23 board-certified pediatric cardiologists, two pediatric cardiothoracic surgeons, 13 advanced practice providers and additional cardiovascular-specific support staff
Support patients requiring the highest level of cardiovascular care in the Jennifer Lawrence Cardiac Intensive Care Unit, which has 17 private rooms offering advanced monitoring and facilities specific to the care of neonates through adolescents
Participate as a key member on a pediatric cardiac surgical team that completes procedures such as complex congenital heart surgeries, heart transplants and left ventricular assist device placement
Be part of a team leading pediatric cardiovascular care innovation for the region, including completing the first Micra leadless pacemaker implant in a pediatric patient in Kentucky, and using intraoperative heart mapping and a microvascular plug
Requirements for the position
Medical degree (medical doctor or doctor of osteopathic medicine)
Board certified/board eligible in pediatric anesthesiology
Unrestricted Kentucky medical license

Physician-owned private practice, with an academic affiliation with the University of Louisville School of Medicine
Opportunity to practice 100% pediatric anesthesia, including 80% supervision of certified registered nurse anesthetists and residents, and 20% solo cases
Call split across the group and can be taken from home
Guaranteed post-call day off
Salary in the top 70th percentile nationally, with competitive sign‑on bonus and relocation assistance
