Job Description Performance Foodservice is seeking a CDL A Driver to deliver food and related products across intrastate and interstate routes, ensuring timely and safe arrival for customers while representing the company with professionalism.
Position Details
Location: Home Daily
Schedule: Monday – Friday
Pay: $65,000–$70,000 average annual pay

Position Purpose Food and food service delivery drivers fulfill a critical role in the country’s food supply chain. Our drivers not only ensure products arrive on time and in good condition, but also act as the face of the company, building lasting relationships with customers.
Primary Responsibilities
Communicate and interact with customers, vendors, and co‑workers professionally, answering questions accurately and promptly.
Act as a team member within the department and organization, performing any duty assigned to best serve the company.
Perform all required safety checks (pre‑/post‑trip) and inspections of tractor/truck and trailer per DOT regulations and company standards.
Report all safety issues and/or repair needs promptly.
Follow all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines and policies.
Inspect trailers for proper loading and securing of freight.
Count check items and verify customer invoices against loaded products.
Complete required paperwork accurately and legibly.
Load trailers and drive to deliver customer orders according to predetermined routes and schedules.
Unload, transport, and place products in designated customer storage areas.
Perform damage control checks, scan items, and contact supervisor per policy.
Verify delivery, obtain signatures, collect payments (cash or checks) if required, and load returns.
Ensure all equipment, trailer, and freight are secured and locked.
Clean and maintain tractor, loading dock area, and trailers during and after each shift.
Record hours of service in compliance with Federal DOT, state, and company requirements.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma, GED, or state‑approved equivalent.
At least 1 year of commercial driving experience.
Valid CDL‑A license.
Meet all State licensing and/or certification requirements where applicable.
Minimum age 21 years.
Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for the past 3 years.
Pass post‑offer drug test and criminal background check.
Pass road test.
Valid current DOT Health Card or ability to secure a new one.
Ability to hand‑lift and use equipment (twin‑wheelers, lift gates) to move and stack product cases ranging from 10–35 lb up to 60–90 lb.
Compensation $65,000–$70,000 average annual pay.
