Process Engineer

About the Role We are seeking a motivated Process Engineer with a passion for continuous improvement and a drive to help a high‑performing manufacturing team achieve its goals. This position offers the opportunity to make a direct impact by improving production processes, enhancing efficiency, and supporting innovation in a fast‑paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as a process expert for the Coating and Mixing teams, contributing to the safe and efficient achievement of departmental goals.
Identify and solve root‑cause issues within manufacturing processes.
Evaluate and optimize current methods, workflows, and equipment to drive improvements in quality, uptime, and cost.
Conduct time studies, data trend analysis, correlations, and other performance assessments.
Develop and lead improvement projects from concept through design, cost/safety approval, implementation, and validation.
Collaborate cross‑functionally with engineering, operations, vendors, and management on large‑scale initiatives.
Create and maintain technical documentation including procedures, work instructions, flowcharts, and reports.
Lead new product and formulation introductions across Coating and Mixing departments.
Train team members on new equipment, technologies, and processes.
Qualifications Required
Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline
Minimum of 5 years of continuous improvement or process engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
Strong analytical and data analysis skills using Microsoft Excel or similar tools
Flexibility to work varied hours as needed to support a 24/7 production operation
Preferred
Experience in thin film or paper web coating operations, or other high‑speed, rotating equipment environments
Background in chemical mixing or blending operations
Familiarity with OSHA, EPA, HAZWOPER, and ISO 14001 standards
Working knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC)
