Most Promising Places to Work in Community Colleges for 2025 , is excited to announce a full‑time opening for the position of Maintenance Support Worker – P02563 in our Facilities Maintenance team.
What You’ll Do This position provides assistance to a higher‑level trades team in building, mechanical systems, electrical, and equipment maintenance and operation. The role also supports compliance with TSC’s Exposure Control Plan (ECP) for OSHA standards regarding blood‑borne pathogens.
Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities
Assist higher‑level trades with plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and other maintenance tasks, including ceiling tile replacement and the repair of other building components.
Perform minor plumbing, HVAC, and lighting assignments throughout the main and secondary campuses, including material cost estimations and purchasing of job‑related supplies.
Maintain inventory records and track costs for maintenance activities.
Use a laptop or desktop computer for word processing, email, and Internet research.
Who We’re Looking For
High school diploma or equivalency diploma.
At least one year of commercial painting experience, and experience assisting a higher‑level trades position in building, mechanical, or equipment maintenance and operation.
Strong teamwork skills and a passion for education and student success.
