for our
Fernley, NV
facility.

Shift / Hours:
8:00 – 4:30, Mon – Fri
Position Summary The Maintenance Technician is responsible to be a part of the maintenance mechanical team to perform a wide variety of mechanical tasks to include preventative maintenance, equipment installation, to support the maintenance department, ad hoc repairs of equipment breakdowns, handle general facility maintenance, as well as miscellaneous duties as assigned. This position reports to the Plant Engineer.
Your Responsibilities
Contribute to the completion of mechanical projects
General office and manufacturing maintenance
Lubrication/oil changing of heavy production machinery
Repair/replace bearings, gear heads, belts, chains, conveyors, filters, etc.
Modify existing structural components to comply with safety regulations, cost saving measures as required
Perform all duties while maintaining high quality with every day thoughts for Environment, Health and safety
Fabrication of parts for repair of existing equipment and installation of new equipment
Assist with management of spare parts inventory
Basic Vehicle Maintenance (forklifts, pickup truck, refuse truck)
Other tasks as assigned by manager
The Background You Bring to our Team
5+ years of experience industrial mechanical experience in a production environment
Must possess good mechanical aptitude and be able to analyze and troubleshoot problems
Knowledge of pneumatic cylinders and controls as well as hydraulic systems and components (pumps, cylinders, valves, etc.)
Ability to operate lathe, milling machine, drill press, mig welder, tig welder, plasma cutter to fabricate and repair equipment
Prior forklift certification and ability to use hand tools
Familiarity with environmental, health and safety regulations
Extrusion and sheet line experience a plus
Capable of working without direct supervision
Valid driver’s license in good standing; CDL Class B a plus
High School Diploma or GED
